Description:

Strange tar-like back on this solid polypore bracket. About 50mm across. Fine pores underneath. Dozens of tiny insects and maybe their exuviae.

Habitat:

Solitary specimen on a large old eucalyptus log on a local state forest.

Notes:

Yet to find species... suspecting Postia.
