Large Winter Leptocroca

Leptocroca sanguinolenta

Description:

A small pale moth with wings crossed-over showing a fringed inner margin. Wing span is stated to be 20mm and each wing had a dark brown streak with a saw-tooth pattern. Labial palps were re-curved.

Habitat:

Nature reserve with mixed native trees.

Notes:

Family: Oecophoridae Subfamily: Oecophorinae Have seen quite a number of these this winter.
