Sedum brevifolium
Tiny light green succulent with unique texture and colour. Native to Europe and North Africa it is found at middle elevations of mountains where they grow in rocky niches of cliff faces. This neat little mound of a plant is composed of short stiff stems bearing oval pale blue green pea-like leaves. The mounds develop an outward facing cluster that remains evergreen in mild climates but will go deciduous where it’s colder. This little sedum bears very small flowers in pink or white.
High mountains at 2000 m. high. Between siliceous rocks in a zone with alpine meadows and shrubs. Parque Nacional de Sierra de Guadarrama, Peñalara
