Butterfly Pea

Description:

My parents are growing this cute little vine. The Butterfly Pea Vine/Flower, is a type of ornamental vine here in the Philippines. Its leaves are roundish with a tapering tip at the end. Its flowers are a dark bluish indigo to a bluish violet color/colour. In Thailand, they soak the flower in water to make an indigo-color/coloured dye, to dye rice.

Habitat:

Lives in tropical climates, forestry, subdivisions, parks, farms, gardens, fields, and sometimes cities.
