Saw a rufous colored hummingbird today on the 29th of march. Was totally awestruck!
Liam this one is nothing but our good old Anna's hummingbird.I see many of these perched on the top of trees,making their territorial calls.Very territorial. Flash their gorgets a beautiful purplish red.
Tough to tell, but I'm getting a sort of Selasphorus vibe here. My guess would be Allen's (Selasphorus sasin), but I'm not positive.
