Black-foot daisy

Melampodium leucanthum

White daisies over long bloom season. Flower heads 3/4 - 1 1/4" wide. Bushy perennial or subshrub, 6-18" tall. Very short, rough hairs coat stems and narrow leaves.

Found on dry limestone soil. Sun. Heat and drought tolerant.

They do well in a xeric garden. More die in a garden setting from being over watered than any other reason.
