Passiflora 'incense'

Description:

Climbing perennial vine. Three lobed leaves. Intricate purple flower. This is a hybrid of P. incarnata and an Argentinian species. Larval food plant of gulf fritillary butterfly.

Habitat:

Tolerant of many soils.

Notes:

Notice the caterpillar on the flower. A number of the climbing species have edible fruit.
