Southern MO. 67 deg. F. April 8th Near the edge of Mark Twain National Forest.
Very subdued and resting on the door frame of our motel. Found it about 3 hours before sunset.
I spotted the caterpillar stage of this moth last year and hope to see the stage you posted some day myself!
