Ranunculus abortivus
Annual up to 24 in. tall with smooth, vertically ridged stem and branches. Basal leaves are long stalked and sometimes partially lobed with scalloped margins, kidney shaped. Upper leaves are mostly sessile and divided into 3-5 lobes. Flowers are yellow, with 5 petals, 0.25 in. wide with petals shorter than sepals. Bloom March to June.
