Description:

Upright, smooth annual with solitary stem that branches in the upper portion. Flower to 2 in. Leaves stalkless and clasping stem at base of blade.

Habitat:

Low, moist, often clayey soils. They don't mind poor drainage. These were growing beneath a tree in part sun, in an island surrounded by black pavement.
