Green tiger beetle

Cincindela campestris

Description:

An active, ground-dwelling beetle of sandy places including heaths and dunes. Upperparts usually gren with pale spots on wing cases; legs and thorax margins are shiny bronze.

Habitat:

Widespread and common.

Notes:

Difficult to see as I don't have a macro lens and couldn't get the camera any closer (cropping too much ruined the picture quality), but this is a mating pair of green tiger beetles. Also, in first picture, upper right on the flower is a small black crab spider.
