Chondestes grammacus
Colorful head with alternating stripes of black, white, and rufus extending from the bill to the nape of its neck. The back has typically sparrow-like dark-streaked brown back, and white underparts. There is a small dark bib-like patch under its throat.
This Lark Sparrow spent nearly 2 hours foraging for see among the marram grass on a sanding beach.
