Description:

The Sandwich Terns show a slight crest at the back of the head and have black bills with a yellow tip and dark legs. Here they are in a mixed flock which includes Common Terns, Little Terns, Whiskered Terns, Black-headed Gulls, Mediterranean Gulls, Slender-billed Gulls and a load of small waders. Not all are in the above pictures but they are all on the island somewhere most of the time

Habitat:

Coastal marshes.
