Thymus vulgaris

Description:

It is a low growing herbaceous plant, sometimes becoming somewhat woody. With small pink flowers. Thyme adds a distinctive aromatic flavoring to food.

Habitat:

It is native to southern Europe, where it is often cultivated as a culinary herb. In Alicante is a common wild herb found in the fields and mountains.
