Black Swallowtail caterpillar

Papilio polyxenes

Description:

Found these caterpillars feasting on my Dill. I did a google search that resulted in several different swallowtail varieties but was able to narrow it down to black swallowtail. The original large caterpillar is now missing (4-19-21) but several of the young caterpillars are now filling out in the same patterns to indicate Black swallowtail.

Habitat:

West central ga. Host plant Dill
