Description:

Beetle that measures 5mm in length. Adults, usually appear in large numbers between April and May on the flowers of which they feed. The larvae of this species are small whitish caterpillars that live buried beneath the floor, where they feed on roots and vegetable matter. Habitat:

This small beetle, is endemic to the sandy areas of the Southeast of the Iberian Peninsula, is one of the few species that bears the name of the province of Alicante, in his name. Only locally abundant.
