Bubo bubo
Very large owl with brown and black back with a cream belly, and what looked to be yellow feet, and orange eyes.
Flew up to this spot on a cliff, and slept. Not sure whether that is its home.
Thank you Noah Citizen for the name. Thank you. It wasn't hard to miss, I had first saw this huge bird with a huge wing-span in the corner of my eye. It took another 10 minutes to find it on the cliff. The camouflage was perfect from my vantage point. I'm really happy with this find. I've been looking to get a picture of an owl, any owl, for years now. Thanks again.
the size, color and more characteristic the orange eyes are diagnostic of the eagle owl. great spot!
