We only have 3 species in Europe, 2 common (P. carbo & P. aristotelis) and one restricted to the south-east around Turkey and the Black Sea (P. pygmeus). I have seen a few others in other parts of the world such as Africa, Asia & Australia.

I have seen 6/40 species so far.Interested in seeing the pied cormorant and the flightless cormorant.
