Red-winged Blackbird (male)

Agelaius phoeniceus

Description:

This one was singing or screeching in a large lake shore tree. Only a glimpse of his red and yellow shoulder patches.

Habitat:

Usually find them nesting in cattails.

Notes:

Several small flocks have been traveling through for the past several weeks. There are no cattail or shore reeds near this part of the lake. That habitat is a few miles away.
