Description:

Black matt fruiting bodies about 20-25 mm tall with narrow stipe. The spore producing parts (hymenium) were broad each with a longitudinal furrow.

Habitat:

Growing on damp moss covered ground in a gully - Sailer's Bay walking track -NSW

Notes:

This genus of fungus is found world wide. An ascomycete from Family: Geoglossaceae
