Description:

A somewhat uncommon sparrow. Quite secretive. I usually located them in appropriate habitat by listening for their song

Habitat:

grasslands, prairies, hayfields, and open pastures with little to no scrub cover and often with some bare ground.

Notes:

Found on the sagebrush flats/Minor Flats near the South Saskatchewan River
