Spotting

Description:

A strange cocoon or nest of some kind I found attached to a cliff wall. I couldn't get close, but I'd say it was two and half inches long (five and 3/4 cm).

Habitat:

Almost 11,000 feet up (3,350 meters) where snow was still standing two feet deep in an area that was almost marshy.

Notes:

Pictures taken with an iPhone 5.
