Broad-Nosed Weevil

Description:

I came across this beetle on the beach just outside of Kuşadası, Turkey. It was only about the size of my thumb nail, with quite a pointed end to its wing shells. The colouration was almost a metallic yellow with dark brown stripes.

Yes oxyjack, I came across all three beetles on the same stretch of beach on the same afternoon last week.

Handsome weevil! This is a broad-nosed weevil. Family Curculionidae, Subfamily Entiminae.
