Description:

Small hummingbird with a very long beak, look at the purple under the throat (it can be black depending of the angle of light). Its nice, not shy, fierce fighter against other individuals of the same or other species.

Habitat:

Coastal dune scrublands

Notes:

There are only two known populations, one in the driest part of the Yucatán Península and the other in the driest part of Veracruz, México.
