Hi Mel, This lizard is an iguanid of which there are only two on Madagascar. The Chalarodon doesn't look at all like your picture so it has to be a Oplurus. There are at least six species and without being able to see the neck band or other characteristics, the closest I can come is Oplurus sp. Sorry I can't nail it down further for you. Nice shot though. That was a good catch.
