White tail deer

Odocoileus virginianus

Description:

This is a white tail deer I saw in the Jamestown area near Williamsburg. It is a median size deer. I believe this was female and actually still looked like a juvenile. The females weigh up to 90 kg, and the young up to 35 kg.

Habitat:

These deer can be found in most of the united states and mexico. They usually live in forested regions where protection and food is readily available.
