Mink Frog

Rana septentrionalis

Description:

Mink frog resembles the Green frog & it can be difficult to differentiate between the two species. Adults are green above with variable dark mottling. The hind legs are blotched, not crossbanded. Adults measure up to 75 mm in head-body length and emit a characteristic odour when handled.

Habitat:

Water ditch next to a trail of an old railway line.
