Western Spotted Orbweaver

Neoscona oaxacensis

Description:

Orb weaver spider spotted in the garden at the Yolo Bypass Wildlife Area Headquarters, Davis, CA. Any help with a species ID would be great.

Habitat:

Garden at the Yolo Bypass Wildlife Area Headquarters, Davis, CA.

Notes:

The typical orb-weaver spiders (family Araneidae) are the most common group of builders of spiral wheel-shaped webs often found in gardens, fields and forests. Their common name is taken from the round shape of this typical web, and the taxon was formerly also referred to as the Orbiculariae. Wikipedia

Hello, misako, this is a fantastic picture of an equally fantastic spider you've submitted. I am 95% certain this is a male Western Spotted Orbweaver. Does anyone else agree/disagree?
