Anaxyrus americanus
An American Toad (Anaxyrus americanus, formerly known as Bufo americanus). This individual was so well camouflaged that I almost stepped on it as I was taking photographs of poison ivy!
I spotted the toad along a trail through the woods of Huntley Meadows Park, a 1,425 acre wetland area in Fairfax County, Virginia USA. Related Resource: http://www.fairfaxcounty.gov/parks/huntl...
