Orange/red newt with spots on it.

Habitat:

Eastern newts are at home in both coniferous and deciduous forests. They need moist environment with either a temporary or permanent body of water, and thrive best in a muddy environment.

Neat spotting! Looks to me like a red-spotted newt in the juvenile, land-dwelling form known as Red Eft. See the wikipedia link on the species ID suggestion for more info.
