Whitecrossed Seed Bug

Description:

Small dark gray and red bug about 7mm long with a white cross on the back. The head, thorax, scutellum, antenna, legs, membrane and underside are dark gray. The elytra are red and are outlined or bordered in white. The eyes are reddish black.

Habitat:

African daisy plant in residential yard bordered by oak woodland. This species is widely distributed in North America.
