Banded Rock Rattlesnake

Crotalus lepidus klauberi

Description:

A small(ish) rattlesnake, green base with dark chocolate bands from head to tail. There was also a brown one, but I thought this one was prettier.

Habitat:

In the wild, Banded Rocks live on "sky islands," mountains next to or in deserts, that are generally a more temperate climate than the surrounding area.

Notes:

LA Zoo and Botanical Gardens
