Black saddlebags

Tramea lacerata

Description:

Black saddlebags is a spring arrival at huntley meadows. It very seldom perches.

Habitat:

The area that this male was patrolling was a marsh with pleanty of foliage and open water. A few were mating, but they are quite fast and fly in tandem which makes them very difficult to photograph.
