Thanks for the comments Marlyn Y williefromwi. As Project Noah is focussed primarily on the photographic recording of as many species as possible in as many places as possible and as often as possible, and will accept all photographs (up to 6 per spotting) providing the organism can be clearly identified, I tend to concentrate on this aspect instead of the quality. Most of my spottings are therefore posted in the order taken although if I take more than 6 (frequently) I do try to pick the best ones. Having said that, Project Noah does of course accept quality photographs taken by its users also, and the best of these may be used by our parent part-owners and sponsors, National Geographic.
wonderful series, of a most wonderful spotting for you. If this were my series, I would lead with your last shot, as I believe it shows off the bird the best. ( that is just me) Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Patty & Emma, we had been looking out for these for several months as there are only a few hundred breeding in Spain, having first been discovered in 1968. When we saw them there was quite a sizeable flock, perhaps 20 or so feeding along the roadside between the beach and salinas.
