On second thought, you seem right, because
a) its throat clearly has some yellow, while the purple-rumped's throat is white.
b) this pic was taken outside my house, and I've often seen the male purple sunbird flying around (although I could never get a clear shot of it :( ), but I've never seen the male purple rumped sunbird around.

I was thinking Purple because it doesn't show much of a "mask", but I'm not an expert.

According to images I googled, it looks more like a purple-rumped, because the beak's curvature is more. What do you think?

A Sunbird, probably a Purple-rumped or Purple, but I'm not sure.
