Caesar's mushroom

Amanita caesarea

Description:

There was a grouping of 7 mushrooms in this spotting. Looks like one has been eaten. It has a distinctive orange cap which becomes yellow in color toward the edge. White stem. Not sure if I've correctly identified it as a Caesar's amanita. Pretty sure it is in the amanita family though.

Habitat:

These mushrooms were growing in a field out by the campground at Magnolia Springs State Park in Millen Georgia.

Notes:

There are lots and lots of mushrooms in this state park, both in fields and in the surrounding forest.
