A tiny little jumping spider, the size of my fingernail. This is the first time I have managed to get one to look at me and photograph the eyes in focus.

Great series, especially with such a small specimen.

I wiggle my fingers in front of its face, to get it to look at the camera. They do often jump onto the lens or even your finger, so if you are nervous around spiders, don't do it.

I have ridden 4Km home on my motorbike and found a hyllus giganteus on my T-shirt. It had jumped onto my lens but I could not find it. I returned it to the same bush the next day. This has happened a few times, not just once.
