Raspberry Slime Mold

Tubifera ferruginosa

Description:

My best guess is Red Raspberry Slime (Tubifera ferruginosa). Can anyone confirm?

Habitat:

Collinsville, AL-on a rotting, fallen tree in a pine/mixed hardwood forest. Very moist conditions due to the recent tropical storm moving inland.

Thank you, Mark! It really stood out in the forest! My father-in-law pointed it out to me, and I'm so happy he did!
