Spotting

Description:

Neatly drilled holes in a crab apple tree. The young birds sounded like a high pitched noisy belt on a car.

Notes:

A downy woodpecker has been seen frequently in the area...is this the nest?

Wow! I know Pileated Woodpeckers can be quite loud and create large holes in trees but I don't know if their holes are that neat.
