A worldwide community photographing and learning about wildlife
Meleagris gallopavo
Males in full fan. Light colored head bare of feathers. When not fanned they are sleek in size. Grey wing tips and white tipped tail feathers.
Mostly found in the country, can be found in hills, in meadows, rocky terrain, forests and even walking down busy streets.
We get a lot of wild turkeys not only in the country but in the urban areas. Spotted these while driving up a road in the country.
