Description:

Upright perennial. Yellowish flower, spotted with dark maroon, in whorls forming dense, elongated spike at end of stem. Each whorl is subtended by large white or yellowish leaflike bracts.

Habitat:

Texas Our Heritage school garden.

Notes:

Contains the antiseptic drug thymol.
