Thapsia villosa

Description:

It is early spring and thapsia buds are starting to open. Thapsia villosa ia a herbaceous perennial, growing up to 100 cm high. The leaves are very hairy. The inflorescences are large, regularly distributed umbels and yellow coloured. The seeds have four wings.

Habitat:

Spotted at an open evergreen oak forest. Dehesa de Valdelatas
