Description:

The gall is a growth that forms on plants. It can be caused by insects, fungi and bacteria, parasites and mites. These items cause a bump on the plant and grows out. This gall was found on the sumac plant on Little Chebeague.

Habitat:

Found on all kinds of plants

Notes:

We found galls on lots of trees on small plants such as golden rod.
