Equisetum arvense
The white parts are rough and the tip is rough too. It's a light green color all around it. There were lots in that area. This picture was takin near a field and they were everywhere in the field. This is a spore plant. It's topped with a round spore cone in the spring.
Woods,fields, and swamp sides.
Found this when my class was hiking on Little Chebeague. We found lot's of other things that are really interesting.
