Description:

Is a fully hardy perennial herbaceous plant with pink flowers in late Spring and early Summer. It was first used for medicinal purposes, then grown as an ornamental. Many selections are now used in horticulture, though the typical species is uncommon.

Habitat:

It grows well in semi-shade and direct sun, and prefers medium levels of water.
