White plumed honeyeater

Lichenostomus penicillatus

Description:

gathering fluff as nesting material

Habitat:

Alice Springs Desert Museum, behind one of the small "theatre" locations

Notes:

Best photos I got of this charming and very active species. We were listening to a presentation on aboriginal life in the region, and the birds started coming to a rock outcrop for both water and nest material
