Great Tailed Grackle

Quiscalus mexicanus

Description:

The Great Tailed Grackle is very common and often has black feathers with a light brown underside.

Habitat:

The Great Tailed Grackle is fond in the southwestern United States and throughout Mexico. This specimen was found in the H.E.B. parking lot

Notes:

There were a lot of them at H.E.B., which was unusual considering it was the middle of the day. Perhaps H.E.B. is a good food source.
