Garden Bumblebee

Bombus hortorum

Description:

Very active, energetic, rapidly looking for food, checked same location several times. It politely left the flower the other unwell bee I was looking after (bombus terrestris) was on. Checking a second time, it brushed the ailing bombus terrestris as if to check up on it. Bombus terrestris stirred briefly.

Habitat:

Garden

Notes:

This bee preferred the cream, pollen rich flowers in our garden that are on the photo. It did feed from lots more flowers too eg. some pink blossom.
