Virginia Opossum

Didelphis virginiana

Notes:

There were two babies on my deck this morning. I put them under my deck. This one came back out but doesn't look too well. Not sure if he is sick or playing possum. I was worried because they were out in the daytime.

If you didn't see the mother at all, something may have happened to her. If you believe the other baby is still alive somewhere, maybe call DNR and see what they can do?

Something is definitely wrong if it was out during the day...

You're right; it doesn't look well at all. If the mother doesn't come back, perhaps you could see if there is a wildlife rehabber in your area.
