Scotch Bonnet Mushroom

Description:

An attractive pale pinkish-orange Ravioli-like mushroom with a waxy cap about 30mm wide. Margins of some of the wider caps were crenated. The colour deepened towards the centre of the cap which was raised into a broad umbo. Gills were spaced and pale pink. Stipe was plain and almost translucent and the same colour as the cap. The colour deepened towards the base.

Habitat:

Growing in a mulched garden in a cluster.

Notes:

These beauties belong in Madame Tussauds - so waxy and attractive.
